Stay Healthy with Telehealth and Virtual Visits

Consider using your virtual health benefits at this time

In uncertain times, it’s only natural to want to visit the doctor’s office or hospital if you have an injury, aren’t feeling well, or are simply worried about contracting COVID-19. However, many facilities are unequipped to manage an influx of patients and are low on critical supplies. To prevent unnecessary strain on precious resources and mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus, The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends to stay at home if you are mildly ill and stay in touch with your doctor if your symptoms become worse.

Should you need the help of a doctor or nurse on a non-emergency basis, many insurance companies offer telehealth or virtual appointments. These appointments allow you to discuss your symptoms, identify solutions, and obtain prescriptions without visiting a physical location. Your provider may use live video, audio, and instant messaging to communicate with you.

If you do not have a way of completing a virtual visit with your Primary Care Physician (PCP), you may also use a telehealth or virtual visit solution through your insurance company, or any of the following telehealth point solutions.

Below is a comprehensive list of telehealth solutions offered by various insurance companies as well as stand-alone solutions:
